Welcome to the “Getting Started” guide for the Product Table builder Plugin. Follow these steps to create and customize your first product table.

Step 1: Install the Product Table Builder

  1. Install the product table builder plugin.
  2. After installation, you will see the “Product Tables” menu on the left sidebar of your WordPress dashboard.
  3. You can also access the “Product Tables” page from the plugins menu under the plugin name.

Step 2: Create a New Product Table

  1. Navigate to the “Product Tables” page.
  2. Click the “Add New” button to create a new product table.
  3. You will be taken to the product table editor interface.

Step 3: Understanding the Interface

The product table editor interface consists of three main sections:

  1. Top Bar:

    • Table Title: Enter a name for your table.
    • Shortcode: Displays the shortcode for your table.
    • Settings: Access table settings.
    • Appearance: Customize the appearance of your table.
    • Save Table Button: Save your table.

  2. Left Sidebar:

    • Elements: Contains various elements you can add to your table.
    • Query Builder: Use to filter the data displayed in your table.

  3. Main Screen:

    • Builders: The area where you build and customize your table.
    • Preview: A real-time preview of your table.

Step 4: Building Your Table

Adding Columns

  1. In the Builders section, click “Add New Column” to create a new column.
  2. Drag and drop elements from the Elements panel to the Builder column.
  3. You can add multiple elements to the same column.

Customizing Columns

  1. Delete Column: Click the bin icon in the top right corner of each column to delete it.
  2. Move Column: Use the left or right arrow icons beside the bin icon to move the column left or right.
  3. Customize Column: Click the gear icon beside the left arrow icon to customize the column. For more details, refer to the Column Settings section.

Step 5: Customizing Each Element

  1. Click on each element within your builder to customize it.

Step 6: Using the Query Builder

  1. Set up the query builder to filter the data displayed in your table.
  2. For more details, refer to the Query Builder Settings section.

Step 7: Customizing Settings and Appearance

  1. Access the Settings and Appearance sections from the top bar to customize your table’s settings and appearance.
  2. For more details, refer to the Table Settings and Appearance Settings sections.

Step 9: Previewing Your Table

  1. The Preview section shows the table data instantly.
  2. Note that the preview may not match your theme’s table style 100% due to different CSS.
  3. Use the “Check Preview on Your Theme Style” option to see how the table will appear on your site.

Step 10: Adding the Shortcode

  1. Copy the generated shortcode from the top bar.
  2. Paste the shortcode into any page, post, or widget area that supports shortcodes.
