Creating a New Order Status

In Advanced Custom Order Status for WooCommerce, you can define custom order statuses to manage orders more effectively. Follow these steps to create a new order status:

Step 1: Navigate to Order Status Settings

  1. Go to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Order Statuses.

Step 2: Add a New Order Status

  1. Click on the Add New button.
  2. Enter the following details:
    • Title: Enter a title for your new order status (e.g., “Processing/ Paid”).
    • Slug: Optionally, enter a slug for the status (auto-generated if left blank).
    • Description: Optionally, add a description for the status (e.g., “Order is being processed after payment”).
  3. Click Save to proceed.

Step 3: Customize Appearance (Optional)

  1. Change Color: Optionally, customize the text color of the order status.
    • Click on the color picker in the Color row.
    • Select a color that suits your requirement.
  2. Change Background Color: Optionally, customize the background color of the order status.
    • Click on the color picker in the BG Color row.
    • Select a background color that suits your requirement.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

  1. After customizing the appearance, click Save to save your new order status.

Step 5: Test Your New Order Status

  1. Go to your WooCommerce orders, Click on an order you prefer and find your newly created status in the status dropdown menu where all order statuses are displayed.
  2. Verify that your new order status appears correctly and functions as expected.
